1 x Rocky Patel Vintage 2006 San Andreas Toro (6 ½” x 52, ●●●●○ Medium-Full). The fifth cigar in the Vintage series, Vintage 2006 San Andreas made its debut at the 2017 IPCPR convention, rocking the world of cigars. The recipe consists of Nicaraguan fillers and a Connecticut Broadleaf binder. The finishing touch is the gorgeous Mexican San Andreas wrapper leaf that has been aged no less than 11 years. This Nicaraguan-made beauty begins with earthy spices, and plenty of it. The top-shelf Nicaraguan fillers tend to tickle the tongue with a plethora of that white pepper that the region’s tobacco is so well-known for. Quickly, however, the chocolate and caramel of the brilliantly aged wrapper leaf take over, adding sweetness, boldness, and complexity.

1 x Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary Toro (6 ½” x 52, ●●●●○ Medium-Full). Selected by Cigar Aficionado as the 2010 #19 Cigar Of The Year. This box-pressed beauty is made up of Nicaraguan fillers and is wrapped in an Ecuadoran Habano leaf. The aroma off the foot has some earthy notes along with some hay and a non-distinct sweetness. The pre-light draw gave off some more of that barnyard flavor mixed with some strong black pepper that coated the mouth. Once lit, the spice is joined by some delicious flavors including bitter/dark coffee and the chocolate flavor that Nicaraguan leaves are known for.

1 x Rocky Patel Tavicusa Toro (6 ½” x 52, ●●●●○ Medium-Full). In 2008, Rocky opened his own cigar factory in the heart of Estelí, Nicaragua. Now, Rocky celebrates the anniversary by releasing a cigar brand named after that boutique factory. TAVICUSA is a rich and full cigar featuring tobacco culled from fields in Condega, Jalapa, and Estelí. The San Andrés wrapper brings the robust smoking experience all together.

1 x Rocky Patel Royale Toro (6 ½” x 54, ●●●●○ Medium-Full). Selected by Cigar Aficionado as the 2014 #5 Cigar of the Year. A beautifully square pressed cigar is wrapped in a flawless Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper leaf and double bound in both Connecticut broadleaf and Connecticut shade. The filler is a triple ligero Nicaraguan leaf which adds to the flavor of this great cigar. The milk chocolatey, smooth wrapper gives this cigar an incredible earthy aroma right from the get-go. These flavors continue with abundance throughout the smoke, and only slight hints of spice and sweetness creep in.
